* Vacaville placed 8th, Pleasant Grove-Elk Grove placed 11th, Gilroy placed 18th, Orland placed 25th, Bella Vista-Fair Oaks placed 32nd, De La Salle placed 36th, Marina placed 50th. Go NorCal!

I heard Gilroy lost 2 state championship caliber wrestlers who transferred to Clovis. Palma should give Gilroy a run for CCS championship this year if their 120 lbs gets back from injury ahead of CCS finals.

I am wondering why wud those 2 from Gilroy wud transfer there when Clovis is Ranked # 1 and are loaded. Gilroy is currently ranked # 8 in the state & # 1 in the Central Coast Section. Live Oak-Morgan Hill is ranked # 20 in the state and Arch Bishop Riordan-San Francisco is ranked # 27 in the state. Gilroy is ahead of De La Salle. The De La Salle Show Case is gonna be a good one!

Not sure why the transfers, but Gilroy and Palma will battle it out this year for #1 and #2 in CCS. Probaby closer than last year. MBL Gabilan league rules CCS this year again.

i'm new to wrestling and to the CCS as well. Live Oak & Arch Bishop Riordan are state ranked. Any news on the De La Salle Show Case? Gilroy, Clovis & Vacaville are supposed to dual. How about De La Salle vs. Bakersfield?

CCS...Gilroy has been at the top for years...palma has been emerging and last couple years program is moving up to another level with several wrestlers beginning to wrestler year round. Gilroy is typically strong at lower weights. I believe a the Gilry wrestkers may have moved to Clovis or Clovis area. Palma has a shot to have 3 CCS champs and another one or two make state (at least 4 with good shot at state) with some good underclass. Program is in upswing. I've followed CCS wrestling since my days wrestling during the Schultz brother days. IYes...Live Oak and Riordan have potential CCS champs and thus will be ranked in CCS. I still would put Gilroy and Palma at the top (Gilroy at lead, but Palma closing- dual with Gilroy and palma will be good...Palma is getting better at lower weights and very strong in upper weights)...next level the rest. Typically the WCAL are relatively strong and a few very good wrestlers in the DeAnza. Clovis and Vaca High are very strong programs as is Bakersfield. DLS typyically hasone to two elite wrestlers and lots of very good ones.
