Bad news….HW on pace for 76 points…..Salesian will need a big 2nd and 3rd quarter, or this one could get out of hand quickly…….
Second half is setting up to be a battle. This is some high level high school ball. Salesian missed a few layups in the beginning. And the kid Hinton has 15 points for HW man he can shoot

Missed layups/putbacks, FTs and uncharacteristic turnovers by the Pride difference in the game. Congrats to HW. Great season Pride!

Biggest winners this weekend:
1) Oakland Tech just destroying the D2 division
2) Monterey wins the D4 title that everyone thought would be Chatsworth
3) Salesian….though they didn’t win, still battled until the very end against arguably the best non-Prep team in America.
4) Athenian….yes it’s D5 but it’s a state title non the less!

What a game. Hinton for HW was impressive I didn’t see him miss until late in the 4th. Harvard has some of the best pull up mid range shooters I’ve seen in a long time. Salesian turned the ball over twice on inbounds plays in the 4th and missed a few layups. Also it was a bit curious that they called a foul on Perry that would have been his 4th foul halfway through the 4th. Only to change the foul to another player after the coach complained. I didn’t see a replay to confirm but neither did the refs, maybe it was a mistake but it sure was a big deal.
Great game. Great high level basketball. Both teams played great defense. Harvard just had a few more playmakers come up huge in the clutch

6 titles for both Nor and SoCal, three boys titles up here (O-Tech, Monterey, and Athenian).
