Coaches are supposed to be leaders and mentors and should never demean a young athlete. It’s a negative making more negatives. We are not taking about grown men or women we are talking about children. A coach at the high school level is an educator teaching student athletes about the sport their playing but also about life. And if you think cursing at someone is a good life lesson you have some issues. You wouldn’t want your teachers cussing at their students when they fail at something so why do we want our coaches not to held to the same standards as our educators.
One factor has to be the “post- game conditioning.”If that’s the case then that’s a bunch of bullshit.

Oh by the way, not every one should get a trophy.https://usatodayhss.com/2016/is-it-ok-for-coaches-to-berate-curse-at-kids

Times have changed. It's all fell-good Oprah and Dr. Phil all the time. Parents run the show. Cellphones record every fart, every belch, every twitch, every misstep, verbal or otherwise. Administrators run scared. Why adults choose to continue to coach in this environment is always surprising. But god bless those who do.
Lots of speculation going on here and hypothetically “parents” being the instigators.
I’ve seen little Johnny’s parents raise hackles and coaches making bonehead, even immature, choices. There’s plenty of both at many schools.
That’s why it’s so important coaches/teams choose their captains wisely. Not through popularity or solely with kids deciding.
Some of those 18 year old seniors are either really smart- (-er than a tenured PE teacher) or so passionate they’re destined for the next level.
If those captains mete out the guidance there are very few occasions where a parent, administrator or even coaches will suffer any fallout. “The captains wisely decided that those laughing would sit out ( x games, fill in your ramification) and that everyone has committed to playing these games hard nosed. They have agreed the behavior reflected poorly on us coaches, the school, our opponents and most importantly on the players who lead this team with dedication and grit, cannot he condoned.”
No players as leaders? That’s a coaching oversight the previous years.
