Playoff Scoreboard (November 15-16)

The Grant Defense starts the running clock up 42-7 over Jesuit in the 3rd Q after a pick 6

49-7 Grant beats Jesuit
35-20 Inderkum over Granite Bay a lil over 1 minute left in the game

video feed is really bad, an odd puke-green shade. Which team is which? I just got onto this feed.

and they do…. looked thru the fog like they gonna try for 2 and the win…. but time out.

Carmel wins 56-46. It was 49-46 with 2:05 left, but Simeon Brown returned the kickoff about 70 yards to put it away. Carmel scored 2 TD’s on kickoff returns and one on a punt return. They don’t seem to care much for tackling though… in fairness, Defense has always been somewhat of an afterthought in the Golden Anderson era.

Vintage beat #8 seed (Open) San Marin a few weeks back.

Cruikshank and the committee sweetheart seeded Liberty. No doubt...East bay bias...

Ridiculous
No Doubt!…. San Marin got hosed!!… They were in D3 last year, Should have been D2…. Liberty or AV should have been in D1….

El Cerritos issues played a huge factor in it… Had EC not got in trouble they would have been in The Open/D1 Forsure….

Oak Ridge 45
Monterey Trail 20

MT got off to a horrible start and never recovered. OR kicked off and MT muffed the kickoff on the 5 yard line and OR recovered and scored on the next play. Literally 8 seconds came off the clock. Next series MT fumbled and OR scored. 14-0 early in 1st and it was over.
I thought MT played well after this but it was too late. OR like I said before might be playing the best out of everybody at the moment in the section. Isaac Pierce, Justin Womack, and Kaleb Edwards all had big games for OR. OR vs Folsom for SJS Finals. No doubt.

Yes, literally the worst start imaginable. Even so, MT battled back and made a game of it in the first half. It was the 3rd quarter where Oak Ridge just separated. MT has a good team, but very little depth. Oak Ridge just had players at every position and they are very well coached. Best of luck to them in the remainder of the post-season.
