Week 2 Pick'em Game Notes

Cardinal Newman 21, Sutter 7: Cardinal Newman had a 74 yard touchdown pass and a 94 yard kick return in a win at the Northern Section power.

Buhach Colony 35, Tracy 21: Buhach Colony wins a key game in the southern half of the SJS. Buhach Colony led 27-7 at halftime.

Inderkum 37, Del Oro 10: Big plays helped Inderkum jump out to a 17-0 lead and scored the final 20 points after Del Oro got within seven at 17-10.

Las Lomas 27, Bishop O'Dowd 14: Las Lomas trailed 14-7 in the second quarter before scoring the last 20 points. Isaiah Newell had two first half touchdowns.

Valley Christian 23, Wilcox 13: Valley Christian jumped out to a 10-0 lead and got a touchdown run from Chase Laubach and a touchdown catch by Isaiah McElvane.

Mitty 47, Palma 31: Mitty led 31-28 after three quarters before scoring 16 unanswered points over the final seven minutes.

Clayton Valley Charter 21, Turlock 7: The Ugly Eagles got touchdowns from Jake Kern, Makhi Gervais and Kavika Baumgartner. The game was tied at seven at halftime.

Oak Ridge 45, Vacaville 20: Oak Ridge scored at least 40 points for the second straight week. Vacaville falls 0-2 after facing two of the top teams in Northern California.

Palma and Mitty were tied at 31-31 with 7:11 left in game.the last TD was academic. Palma concedes with 41 seconds left and Mitty ran a play. Palma had a shot to tie the game by getting to the Mitty 22 and missed 1st down by an inch. They also had a bad snap on a punt that resulted in a safety. It was a a lot closer than score. Anthony Villegas has over 300 yards and 4 tds for Palma. 171 at half. Palma broke in new soph qb starter who is going to be very good. Both teams made mistakes. Mitty only has about 30 players on their roster. Skill players were good especially #11 and #2 and other RB. Bey had a up and down game. Not especially strong on intermediate passesbut threw a fe nice deep ones. Mitty run defense and let megave up a lot to Palma online and RB. Injury to top Palma cb in q4 kind of hurt Palma a end but they got burned a couple times . Both teams should improve slot for league games. Mitty May have depth issue againt VC and Serra. I heard from Cal14 at SF game that the Lancers were not very fast compared to team they played and their qb didn’t have a strong game. Still looks like Mitty May be a too 3 or 4 team. Palma will play SHC next week and Oakdale after which played Liberty Brentwood close. Mitty plays Oakdale as well.
