Notes: Four PAL teams are unbeaten so far at 3-0 (San Mateo, Hillsdale, Half Moon Bay and The King's Academy. Only TKA is in the PAL Bay (A) Division. The other three are members of the PAL Ocean (B) Division. HMB has two wins vs. Bay Division teams, Burlingame and Sacred Heart Prep. It's fair to point out that no Central Coast Section public school has a tougher non-league schedule than Menlo-Atherton, a defending CIF state bowl champion and currently 1-2, with losses to Serra and East of Utah. For the severely-tested Bears (a heavy favorite to win the PAL Bay), a date with powerhouse Folsom looms on the horizon Sept. 27.
