Great opportunity for Rocklin, their secondary needs the work to prepare for playoffs none better than the Dogs. I still think they have a path, but will need some assistance from Folsom beating themselves on 3rd and 4th downs.

Rocklin has a punchers chance in this game. Folsom is a tough team to prepare for, it's unusual to not just take away one aspect the opponents wants, bad comparison but feels more like a 7-7 type game, perhaps Mack has an off night. We will soon see.

Wish the game was at Rocklin. Don't feel like driving to Folsom.

I like the Rocklin staff (Tag n Cunningham) really good dudes. I'm rooting for them. With that said Folsom 33-16. RHS keeps its close, the defense will be flying around and smacking per the usual but ultimately not enough fire power on O. Hope I'm wrong.

Go get dinner early. A few recommendations.

1. Chicago Fire Pizza (Folsom Palladio)
2. Visconti's Italian Restaurant (been there 30 years)

Both are fairly close to the blue monster.
The Fat Rabbit on Sutter Street in the Historic District of Folsom. Not super close, but it's easy enough to get back to the stadium from there.

I think its Nixtaco in Roseville for me tonight. Probably watching Thursday NFL hoping Mark Andrew's doesn't go off against my fantasy team. Lol
Based on most of the Thursday night games, it will be 10-7 or you will dodge the big game LOL

We have talked about best venues for games. What are the best watering holes for pregame festivities? I remember going to bunz in co. prior to scouting at Roseville back in the day. Clubhouse 56 is solid for sac st games and section/state. Mark and Monica's is Carmichael was awesome when I was younger post game, ML, DC, Foothill and Highlands staffs would go there after most games in the early 90's, lots of good stories from negri, chunky, my pops, dimino and others. Bella Bru in Natomas was a big hangout prior to Indy games according to our parents/fans.

What are some of your guys favorite spots?

CJs, Rocklin, they never cut you off. 😆

Great guys, also Boch defensive coordinator!

These are mostly about food, although many have full bars and/or extensive tap lists.

In East Elk Grove (All are within a few miles of Sheldon/PG, MT, and EG stadiums. None of them are big chains):

Old Town Pizza
Chasons Crab Stadium ($$)
Sabor A Mexico
The Brick House

Right off the highway in or near COHS Elk Grove:

Plaza Del Sol
Paesano's
Kintaro Sushi

There are a TON of restaurants around Cosumnes River College where Laguna Creek and Valley play. Pick your favorite from amongst them.

And the BEST take out food is Adam's International Market on the corner of Elk Grove-Florin and Bond Road.
Fantastic shawarma.

I need Andrews to go off cause he is on my fantasy team and he goose-egged last weekend!

Samuel Horne's Tavern- Old Folsom.

VERY solid spot for a pregame brew.

I ate at the Old Town Pizza last week when I was in Auburn. Good stuff! Looks like they have four locations.

Whenever I'm near one of the four Gold Dust Pizza's, that is where I go. Been to the one in Ripon several times, and Oakdale once. One of the best pies I've ever had (other than Chicago style, anyway... That stuff RULES!).

As you might guess, pizza is my meal of choice.

Here in central Contra Costa, it's either Melo's or Rocco's. Melo's is better, but Rocco's is closer to DLS. Neither is as good as Gold Dust, but they're not bad.

p.s. I was in New York's Hudson Valley a couple weeks ago... Yup, New York pie is awesome!

OTP has many great locations. The one in Lincoln has a tap room next door and there own solid draft selection.

OTP in old Roseville and EG are both solid as well.

Rocklin has a local watering hole across the street from the HS and it gets packed for big Rocklin games!

I enjoy OTP. If you ever in the bay area, specifically Belmont get a dbl pep and mushroom from Village Host. For me it's the nostalgia of every post season party, pizzas good to!

I was really impressed with rocklins physicality against OR. They get after you ! I just don’t see the fire power needed to play with Folsom. They need to keep it so ugly and be at least +2 on turnovers. If Folsom plays like they have, I see 38-7. OR had 3rd string secondary playing and still should have beat Rocklin. Folsom strength is there secondary.

Nobody likes driving out to Folsom. I did that daily commute for 15 years up til 2018. Unless you are coming from somewhere along the HWY50 corridor ….. it’s light to light to light to light to light to light……

I’m still up in the air whether I’m going or staying put in Placer County and watching via stream.

C’mon LL. Just stop. OR shouldn’t have won anything.

RHS was minus their leading rusher, a very important part of their thunder and lighting 2-headed attack. Yet still won.

It goes both ways.

Pizza Place, now known as CJ’s. Fair amount of taps and a full bar.

I was a bit more partial to it a few years back as I knew the previous owner. He always kept the place open until the wee hours of the morning after big games. Good times!

There’s also a Kiki’s Chicken Place that opened up this Summer in the same shopping center. They haven’t figured out yet that they should stay open later on game nights, but it’s an option before a game. Gotta walk over to CJ’s for beer though ;)

Is the new ownership still staying open super late on game nights like Keith used to?

I've only been in a handful of times since the ownership change, but not for a game yet.

One of the things that got me and my wife to go there again was the fact that they weren't enforcing mask mandates at the height of the pandemic and it was the only place we'd gone to where things seemed "normal" when you hung out there. Lots of people, lots of fun.

Yes it does stay open late, way past my bedtime. it's still a fun, a bit loud at times. I was put onto it late last season so a relative newbie. I've only been a half dozen time (last week, jk). Not a trees lounge Buscemi type place, thank goodness 😅

There used to be a Mark and Monica's out in Granite Bay off Auburn-Folsom many years ago. Didn't know about the one in Carmichael.

Thanks for the heads up re: Clubhouse 56. I might check that out sometime. Usually when my wife and I head to Sac State we hit up Sam's Hof Brau in the Country Club area along the way, unless we're changing things up then we hit up one of the many places near the Loehmann's Plaza area.

Assuming RHS gets a home playoff game (or two), I might reach out to see if you'd like to meet up for a pre-game beer. That was my routine for many, many games over the years. Park by Pizza Place, have a beer or two, walk over to the Stadium. Or sometimes Keith would pile a bunch of us into the back of his truck as he delivered pizzas to the RHS concession stand. ;)

Sounds like a great plan.
