Seems SJS South is showing its flare. Escalon wins big battle. Sonora crushing Center, Patterson beating Roseville, Manteca annihilates Vacaville, Central Catholic ripped a Trail. Turlock is legit. Summerville advances in a shutout.

For all the complaining about SFL bias — the SFL really flexed its muscle tonight demonstrating why they deserve extra consideration.
Granite Bay, the SFL’s 5th place team at 1-4 in league, rolls the CCAL 10-0 champ Downey by 18.
Oak Ridge rolls the Delta league champ Elk Grove by 23.
Rocklin dominates Jesuit by 23.
Del Oro wins by 20 over Antelope.
Folsom annihilates Sheldon by 44.
If Whitney had been able play tonight, they probably destroy too.

This St. Mary’s-Turlock game is looking eerily reminiscent of last years St. Mary’s-Rocklin thriller. Hopefully for the Rams sake the end result is different.

Is it really a flex? Rocklin, Del Oro, and GB should be competing in D1, with Folsom and Oak Ridge.
The Rams were up 8 one moment then down 8. Then tied again, then up again.
Now they just got an INT with a little over 6 minutes remaining.
What a rollercoaster.
I don't get the 'bias' comments. I read the comments and perceived something else from the posters who claimed it. Week in and week out and season in and season out this league is a grind of really good high school football. The programs are well run, the administrations are supportive, and the kids are 100% committed....as are the parents. The section understands this.
It's not that this doesn't exist at other programs but the SFL is a notch up.

Besides, sans Antelope, couldn’t you make the same argument for the opponents they faced tonight??
And, yes, it’s a flex. 5th place team owning a 10-0 league champ. One that beat the Turlock team going toe to toe with St. Mary’s tonight.

Granite Bay has won multiple CIFSJS Division 1 championships, including a state D1 championships. I’m not buying the flex…
