Point differentials in the seasons you listed in comparison to this first season is significantly different. The games I went to they looked significantly different too. Time will tell. Hopefully he turns it around. The BVAL needs another competitive team in NCS playoffs that’s for sure. -

Word is they are having a tough time finding a tenth game. I do know Folsom will be traveling to Pittsburg. Not sure on the rest. Heard they almost had a game with De La Salle but couldn’t sync the dates -

For sure Rashada. Williams and a handful of others are worth looking at as well. Agree with Ararar, there’s enough top guys in NorCal to justify the visit. Not to mention the youn guys at schools like Pitt, DLS and Folsom. -

The school has had a turnover with administration since the pandemic. I heard it was just a matter of Hoefs and new admin not being on the same page. -

Apparently Hoefs and Liberty High School have agreed to part ways. Highly intrigued to see who gets that job. Been a tough time in Brentwood and Liberty having cohesion in the community the past couple of years. -

Matt Mills has been named the new head coach. Apparently he was at College Park last season as the defensive coordinator. Deer Vally graduate too. -

I wouldn’t put any NorCal team in the State’s top 5 for 2022. Maybe two in the top 10. But I’d say more like pick one out of Serra, Folsom and DLS, then the other two would be between 11-15. -

NCS Rebuild
There has definitely been disfunction in the entire Deer Valley athletic department. I remember in the 2000’s and into the 2010’s, DV was competitive in every sport, boys and girls. Now they are an embarrassment. So unfortunate. Especially considering a lot of the better players at all BVAL... -

So what exactly are Pitt vs Clayton Valley playing for?
This year’s playoffs proves that there should be no automatic bids to state. Eliminate it! It should’ve been Serra vs. DLS, Folsom vs. Liberty Bakersfield, so on and so on. -

This system would be good. The CIF should join in on the action and eliminate an automatic bid to the State Open Bowl game and make the top two teams in NorCal play for it
